Job Summary:

We seek an experienced and innovative DSP Engineer to lead the development and validation of groundbreaking signal processing algorithms for our advanced sensor systems. You will play a critical role in translating complex algorithms into efficient, real-time implementations for microcontrollers and FPGAs. Your passion for signal processing, along with your hands-on experience, will make you an indispensable asset to our team.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Algorithm Design and Development:

  • Design and develop advanced signal processing algorithms for applications in areas such as audio processing, echo processing, noise reduction, beamforming.

  • Research and evaluate state-of-the-art signal processing techniques to continually improve system performance.

  • Embedded Implementation:

  • Optimise and implement signal processing algorithms for real-time operation within resource-constrained environments (microcontrollers, FPGAs).

  • Ensure code efficiency, robustness, and maintainability while meeting strict performance requirements.

  • Field Validation:

  • Collaborate with the team to design and execute field trials for testing and validating the performance of signal processing algorithms in real-world scenarios.

  • Analyse and interpret field data to drive algorithm improvements and system optimizations.

  • Prototyping and Scripting:

  • Create rapid prototypes and simulations in Python to explore algorithm concepts and evaluate feasibility.

  • Proficiently utilise Python modules for scientific computing (NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, etc.).


Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a specialisation in Digital Signal Processing. (Ph.D. preferred). Candidates with a B.Tech and a proven track record of success in signal processing projects are also encouraged to apply.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in DSP algorithm design and development.

  • Mathematical Foundations: Strong understanding of signal processing principles, including Fourier analysis, filter design, time-frequency analysis, adaptive filtering, statistical signal processing.

  • Embedded Systems: Expertise in programming embedded systems (microcontrollers, FPGAs) using C/C++, Verilog/VHDL etc.

  • Python: Extensive hands-on experience with Python and its scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib).


Highly Desired Skills:
  • Acoustic Sensors: Experience in working with acoustic sensors for audio/sound-related applications.

  • Communication Systems: Knowledge of DSP principles as applied to digital communication (modulation/demodulation, channel coding, equalisation, etc.).

  • Machine Learning: Familiarity with incorporating machine learning techniques into signal processing pipelines.
